A letter to Hagrid

I vaguely remember the first time I completed the Harry Potter series, but I vividly remember the kind of warm feeling your character gave me. Your character indeed felt like a warm hug. I know you might have heard this a lot, yet I want you to know that you are and will always be one of my favourite Harry Potter Characters. How you cared about the school that expelled you says a lot about you. The kind disposition you maintained even after literally going through a series of tragic events taught all of us a life lesson. You taught me things that maybe you aren't even aware of. You taught me how to be a good friend, one that never leaves their friend’s side no matter what. We still have a lot to learn, why did you leave us?    The news reduced me to tears and I have no other way to tell you how important and precious you are. You were brilliant, a gentle giant who shared a love for monsters. I know it got you and the trio into trouble ’n’ number of times and you were greatly apolog

Verity By Colleen Hoover (Spoiler-free)

“I wasn’t heroic. I wasn’t simple. I was difficult. An emotionally challenging puzzle he wasn’t up for solving.” I read this book a few months ago and decided not to WASTE my time on the review, but I met a hardcore fan of Colleen Hoover at my friend’s wedding and according to her, Colleen Hoover “changed” her life. So I read this book again to write a review. Yes, I know it was a very stupid decision. There’s no point in reading a thriller book again and also because who the hell re-reads a Colleen Hoover book? lol  I genuinely hate her books and I think the author and I don't really mesh with our styles overall. Colleen Hoover is for the people who only ever read fanfiction written by 12 year olds when they were younger so they now think this is the absolute peak of smutty romance. I'm really not a fan of the immense amount of gratuitous sex in her books. I get to the point where I just skim through those parts to find the true story. So much of this book is completely imp

'It Ends With Us' Book Review

Who hasn’t heard about this book? It’s literally everywhere. It’s society-won’t-accept-you famous. Skip this book and you’re not a bibliophile anymore. Even its monotone audiobook on YouTube has 1m+ views and I’m not even kidding, see it for yourself.  and that’s really problematic because I cringed so much at so many points. The plot of this book was so predictable and everything was happening so fast. I do not understand why people loved it so much. I'll give you my point of view. Reasons to Read ‘It Ends With Us’-  This book has 384 pages and it can be finished in a day if your reading speed is well above average.  This book will keep you engaged till the end. There won’t be any need to google words since it's easy-read, so people who do not read books because they get tired of searching for meanings can read this book without giving any second thought.  The message that the author wants to provide through this book is amazing and probably that’s one of the reasons why peop

Let's start over?

Phew! It’s been a long time and to be very honest, I don’t think I’ll be able to write good book reviews now. Writing book reviews is a herculean task and it becomes tougher when one decides to take a gap. Mine was a long gap indeed and I’m trying my best to come back on track.  Have I ever introduced myself though? Goddamn! I gotta be kidding. I was about to write everything that hindered my writing but okay nevermind, I’ll save that story for later.  I’m Sakshi Sharma. I am about to graduate in a few days and my future plans are still unknown. What a shame? Truly. Writing is like a healing mechanism for me. I write when I feel low, I write when I am happy, basically I’m a kinda person who’ll write no matter what and most of it doesn’t even go out of my secret writing place. Music is another healing mechanism and I don’t care, my taste in music has to be the best. Consider yourself lucky if I’ve ever let you see my playlist. I am so particular about my playlist that I won’t let anybod
